Chamber Hosts Energy Summit with Energy Minster
and MPPs

The Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of hosting Energy Minister Todd Smith, MPP Bob Bailey, MPP Andrew Dowie, MPP Anthony Leardi, MPP Matthew Rae, MPP David Smith, and MPP Ric Bresee on Monday to raise the profile of what is happening in Sarnia Lambton. The afternoon began with a tour from our sponsor, Imperial Oil, to see how the company is implementing sustainable technologies and activating projects geared towards the energy transition.
On return to Lambton College, a roundtable with local industry, employers, and stakeholders took place with Bluewater Power, The Bowman Centre for Sustainable Energy, Bluewater Association for Safety, Environment, and Sustainability, Chemistry Canada, Sarnia and District Labour Council, Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership, Sarnia Building Trades, and Sarnia Construction Association.
Moderator Katherine Walker, of industrialwebapps.com Inc., asked the panel how the participants are planning for and supporting the energy transition and what is needed, and what is not, to make meaningful advancement towards a sustainable energy future.
