SARNIA — The Ontario government is celebrating the opening of a new Youth Wellness Hub in Sarnia, making it faster and easier for young people in and around Lambton County to connect to mental health, substance use and primary care closer to home.
“Our government is connecting youth and their families to mental health and addictions services in communities in every corner of the province,” said Sylvia Jones, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health. “As we continue to significantly expand the number of Youth Wellness Hubs across Ontario, young people in Sarnia-Lambton will now have more convenient access to the mental health, addictions and primary care services they need, in one centralized location, close to home.”

The Ontario government is providing $561,000 to ALUS Canada for a three-year project targeting ecosystems in Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.
“Everyday, dedicated local and community organizations across Ontario demonstrate their commitment to protecting and recovering plants, insects, animals and their habitats,” said David Piccini, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks. “Our government is proud to partner with grassroots organizations across the province, like ALUS Canada, to make a real impact. The 2023-24 projects continue Ontario’s track record of strong environmental stewardship and preserving the rich biodiversity of our province for future generations.”
The Canada Small Business Financing Program makes it easier for small businesses to get loans from financial institutions by sharing the risk with lenders.
Recent changes to the program provide lenders and small businesses with additional financing products, new class of loans, increased loan amounts and terms, improved loan conditions and decreased administrative burden.
The Canada Small Business Financing Program makes it easier for small businesses to get loans from financial institutions by sharing the risk with lenders. The maximum loan amount for a borrower is $1.15 million.
• Up to a maximum of $1,000,000 for term loans for any one borrower, of which no more than $500,000 can be used for purchasing leasehold improvements or improving leased property and purchasing or improving new or used equipment and of that amount, a maximum of $150,000 could be used for intangible assets and working capital costs.
• Up to a maximum of $150,000 for lines of credit.
