Congratulations to our CEO, Carrie McEachran for her recent appointment to the Premier’s Council on Equality of Opportunity.
This council leads and provides advice to the Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism and the Premier of Ontario on specific initiatives that support young people to achieve success in the rapidly changing economy.
Carrie’s recommendations to the Premier of Ontario and the Minister on employment, skills training, and educational needs of youth and marginalized communities will be pivotal in targeting existing programs and potential new directions.
Carrie’s insights and experiences in the Sarnia-Lambton community will ensure that the local future workforce will be well-represented.
Ontario Government Activates Disaster Recovery Assistance to Support Residents in Southwestern Ontario

The Ontario government is activating the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO) program in certain areas of southwestern Ontario. The safety of those affected by this natural disaster is the government's top priority.
On August 23, 2023, a series of thunderstorms passed through southwestern Ontario, causing significant damage in the Township of Warwick, the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, the Town of Essex, the Municipality of Lakeshore, the Town of Kingsville, and the Town of Amherstburg. The storms led to localized flooding, power outages, washed-out roads, and flooded basements.
