What’s Happening at the Chamber!

The Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce has been championing local business for over 120 years. From startups to industry leaders, we connect, advocate, and celebrate the people driving our local economy.

- Transportation Committee-

Transportation matters to business—and the Sarnia Lambton Chamber’s Transportation Committee is helping drive progress across our region.

Made up of leaders from industry, government, and community organizations, the committee is focused on strengthening connectivity across all modes of transportation: road, rail, air, marine, and pipelines.

  • Richard Charlebois- Town of Petrolia
  • Gary Martin- Lambton Federation of Agriculture/Chamber Board Member
  • Kyle Walker & Kurtis Gray- Lambton College
  • Bill Yurchuk- Wellings of Corunna
  • Carrie McEachran- CEO, Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce

In 2026, key priorities include:
✔️ Advocating for the completion of Highway 40 widening
✔️ Strengthening regional rail service through collaboration with neighbouring communities
✔️ Supporting active transportation and inter-community transit solutions
✔️ Engaging partners to support local assets like the Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport

The committee is also working on a new resource to help businesses and residents navigate “non-car” transportation options in and out of Sarnia-Lambton.

Through collaboration and advocacy, this group continues to play an important role in supporting economic growth and mobility across our region.
