Our volunteer committees play an important role in advancing the priorities of our business community. Today we’re pleased to highlight the Government Affairs Committee, chaired by Shauna Carr (Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership).
This committee serves as a key connection between the Sarnia Lambton business community and all levels of government. On behalf of our members, the committee examines issues that impact local businesses and works to develop policy positions, resolutions, and recommendations that support a strong economic environment.
The committee also:
• Reviews government policies, budgets, and regulations that affect businesses
• Develops advocacy positions for approval by the Chamber Board of Directors
• Engages with municipal, provincial, and federal representatives
• Helps coordinate advocacy initiatives, including government meetings and policy discussions
2026 Committee Members:
Through the dedication of its volunteer members, the Government Affairs Committee ensures the voice of Sarnia Lambton businesses is heard on the issues that matter most. Interested in getting involved with a Chamber committee? Contact the Chamber team to learn more.
