BIG THINGS ARE BLOOMING AT THE CHAMBER

Sarnia Lambton Chamber CEO to Join Ontario Delegation in Washington Ahead of CUSMA Review

The Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce was proud to have our CEO represent our region in Washington, D.C. as part of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce Trade Mission—bringing the voice of our local business community into important conversations on the future of Canada–U.S. trade.
For Sarnia-Lambton, these discussions are critical. Our region sits at the heart of North America’s energy and petrochemical corridor, with highly integrated cross-border supply chains that support local jobs, investment, and economic growth. Throughout the mission, a consistent message was heard from U.S. partners and industry leaders: tariff-free trade, regulatory certainty, and strong collaboration are essential to maintaining competitiveness.
With the upcoming CUSMA review, the importance of a stable, rules-based agreement cannot be overstated. Predictability at the border has a direct impact on Sarnia-Lambton businesses across key sectors—including energy, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, and chemicals.
We extend our thanks to the Embassy of Canada in Washington and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for hosting these important discussions, and to Minister Stephen Lecce and Ontario’s Representative David W. Paterson for supporting Ontario’s presence.
We also thank Daniel Tisch and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce team for their leadership in organizing this impactful mission.
Sarnia-Lambton’s economy is built on cross-border partnership, and strengthening that relationship will continue to drive opportunity for our businesses, workers, and community.
