Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce Announces Interim Leadership During CEO Leave of Absence
The Board of Directors of the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce has approved a leave of absence for CEO Carrie McEachran as she seeks election in the upcoming municipal election. This step reflects the Chamber’s commitment to political neutrality, strong governance, and a clear separation between organizational activities and campaign-related matters.
To ensure continuity during this period, Board Vice Chair Steve Crozier will serve as Interim Chief Executive Officer for the duration of the leave.
As Interim CEO, Steve Crozier will lead the organization’s operations and work closely with staff, stakeholders, and the Board to advance its strategic priorities and ongoing programs.
“Steve brings deep knowledge of the Chamber, its mission, and its operations through decades of involvement, including service as Vice Chair,” said Angela Edlington, Chair of the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “The Board is confident he will provide steady leadership and continuity during this transition.”
Angela Edlington also thanked Carrie McEachran for the leadership and dedication she has brought to the Chamber, noting that her contributions have played an integral role in the organization’s success to date.
The leave of absence is expected to remain in effect until the conclusion of the municipal election process. At that time, the Board will review next steps for the organization’s leadership structure.
The Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce remains committed to its mission, values, and non-partisan role, and does not endorse or support any political candidate.
