Last week, the Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, highlighted the government’s Affordability Plan—a suite of measures totaling $8.9 billion in new support this year to help make life more affordable for millions of Canadians.

These supports build on other investments that the government has delivered since 2015 that are today helping to make life more affordable for Canadians.
Budget 2022 also includes a comprehensive plan to make housing more affordable and outlines investments focused on growing a more resilient economy that will mean more good-paying jobs for Canadians.
WSIB Doubles Rebates for Small Businesses Enrolled the Health and Safety Excellence Program
The WSIB has introduced new incentives for Small-Medium Sized Businesses with 99 employees or less to join the Health and Safety Excellence program (HSEp).
The intention of these programs is to offset the HSEp registration fee and encourage more Ontario businesses to implement preventative measures aimed at eliminating injury and illness in the workplace.
The deadline is December 31, 2022.

The Sarnia Golf and Curling Club is very excited to host the Ontario Senior Men's Championship event for the first time. Practice round is Sunday July 24 and the tournament will begin Monday July 25 and 26 with the final found on Wed. July 27. There will be a total of 135 participants from across Ontario. We encourage Sarnia Lambton to come out and watch some amazing golf and cheer on our local participants.
We want to ensure that every participant has a memorable experience of both the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club but also of Sarnia / Lambton.
The SGCC will be preparing the registration packages for each golfer and want to include incentives for them to visit our local restaurants. establishments, microbreweries etc. A number of restaurants and microbreweries have included gift certificates that will be included in their registration package. We will also be providing them with swag bags with the SGCC logo on them and would love to fill them with items from local businesses. We would appreciate any items from local business that we could include in the swag bags.
